The Queen Mary

Well today we decided that we needed some exercise... And 8 miles and a couple of blisters later we arrived at The Queen Mary. Actually the walk was really nice. We hiked along the ocean the majority of the time, and enjoyed a clear blue sky, a cool breeze and fresh salt air. Although one of us as I previously mentioned complained repeatedly of big huge blisters forming on "his" feet, once we bought our tickets and figured out the lay of the ship, we really enjoyed the tour...  The engine room was amazing! It was interesting to see the enormous equipment used to power a ship of that size, it was overwhelming.  The Queen Mary  doesn't compare to the cruise ships that we travel on today, but considering it was built in the 30's and the technology that was available at the time it was an extraordinary accomplishment.
