We had a wonderful time celebrating the 4th in Wrangell. We enjoyed the small town atmosphere. The parade was great it was a total of 4 blocks, with painted ponies, bagpipers, Indian dancers and a lot of interesting people. The people watching was almost as entertaining. We watched the locals compete in axe chopping, cross cutting, choker setting, chainsawing huge logs etc. Then on to the log rolling, and that was hysterical. I think it was the first time I wore rain gear on the 4th. There were people in shorts and t shirts soaking wet rolling around on logs in the bay, only in Wrangell. They were all having a great time. We visited with some new friends last night on various Nordhavn boats from all over the world. When it finally got dark enough for fireworks we had a front row view, about 400 yards off the bow, and they were beautiful. Hope everyone had a good 4th. Still having fun on the water.
