Since we left Monterey, Spring Day has had a thumping noise on the hull at the water line next to their stabilizers. They have tried different maneuvers to try and remove it, with no luck. Of course Bill had to get his wet suit on and swim over for a look see... And yes, I was not happy!!! The seas are extremely calm, but Bill is no match for a 76' Nordhavn bobbing and bouncing around out here.
We got within 20 feet of Spring Day, and Bill jumped in with knife in hand to cut the kelp away from their fin. Mission accomplished. Spring Day is on their way with no more annoying kelp beating like a drum on their hull.
Never a dull moment.
