Our last day at The San Diego Yacht Club

We have been getting all the last minute items purchased and our list of must dos finalized before we  leave tomorrow for Ensenada.

Bill has been tagging along with Bob Senter while he performs engine room inspections on the various boats that will be traveling with us in The Fubar 2013 Fleet. They went aboard a couple of Nordhavns today, always a lot to learn.

At the last minute Bill has decided to purchase a dive compressor from a fellow Nordhavn owner. It was a scramble to get the funds, and logistics of getting the compressor delivered from Dana Point, and the removal of the old compressor to a new home, but mission accomplished.

While I was making lunch I looked out the window and couldn't believe my eyes... A man was standing next to Anna Mae with a falcon perched on his arm watching the seagulls at the marina. Of course we had to go out and investigate.

The falconer owns a company that is hired by various businesses to threaten and at times kill Seagulls that make a nuisance of themselves. Apparently,  at Sea World the seagulls become aggressive and attack children with food.

The falconer grew up in Liverpool England but was originally from Ireland. He shared so much information and was a delight to talk with.

This little lady perched on our arms was very well behaved. It was so amazing to be up close and personal with such a beautiful falcon.

Never a dull moment...
