We have been enjoying our morning swim with the whale sharks that hang out in the La Paz Bay just a few miles outside of our marina. They are the giants of the sea, getting up to 60 feet long and living up to 100 years. They are such gentle giants and leisurely swim by with their mouths opening for a tasty diet of plankton. It's so amazing that they allow me to slide off of our dingy into the water just a few feet from them as they lumber along. I almost have to pinch myself each time that I am in their presence I never imagined such an awesome experience!
