Ours stay at San Blas was short and sweet. We pulled our anchor early on our second day in Ensenada de Matanchen Bay and continued on toward Bahia de Banderas Puerta Vallarta. The 60NM run took us a bit over 8 hours.
As we approached Banderas Bay a welcoming party was sent out to greet us. Five large dolphins approached Anna Mae and escorted us for over an hour. They put on a magnificent show with acrobatic flips and twirls, so magical... I have 40 minutes of gopro video that is priceless.
Hundred of birds arrived to entertain us as well. I felt as if I was back at Isla Isabel again as the sky opened up with flapping wings and diving feathers.
In the distance I managed to snap a photo of a breaching whale. It was as if the Ocean and sky exploded with a breathtaking welcome.
We have traveled over 2000NM in the past two months, and have developed wonderful friendships and magical memories along the way. We are halfway to the Panama Canal, our next adventure, when we return in January.
