The Basilica Cisterns In The Depths of History

We truly loved the Cisterns. In the heart of the historical area of the city an underground cavern has been built and standing for hundreds of years built from 527-565. The 336 marble columns rising from the ground, supplied the water for the city. The cistern has the capacity to store 100,000 tones of water. It is truly amazing to see.
