Puerto Vallarta

Our stay in Puerto Vallarta will soon be coming to an end. We have had a wonderful time catching up with friends and exploring the local charm of PV. We’ve been busy provisioning Anna Mae in anticipation of our departure tomorrow.  Our first planned anchorage will either be Yalapa for the day to do more whale watching or continue south to Bahia De Chamela.

Yesterday we hired a guide to take us to Las Tres Marietas. The ride was bumpy on the way out, thankfully it settled down as we arrived to Isla Larga the westerly Island in the chain. We arrived early in hopes of enjoying
the popular snorkel site to ourselves. Unfortunately the tide was to high to pass under the arch that protects the beach and crater interior of the Island. Not to worry, several whales occupied our time as they played and breached for us. It was amazing! Beyond anything we could have imagined!

It was a beautiful day with wonderful memories that will stay with us for a lifetime!
