We decided to make the trip up the coast earlier than planned because the bar was so calm only 2' 4'waves. We started out at 4pm tuesday the 15th. But after we crossed the bar and headed north the seas changed. We usually travel at around 9 knots and are able to make it to Neah Bay in 13-14 hours. Well this was a new experience... Our cruising speed was on average 6.5 knots the seas were 12' and the wave intervals hit us ever 6-7 seconds with 4' -6' wind chop and the winds 15-25 variable mph. Our boat performed great the captain performed great, but me, well I performed over the toilet and in the sink. I did't get my patch on in time and the motion sickness was not much fun. We arrived at Neah Bay 19hours later Wednesday around 2pm. We toured the big town of Neah Bay, not much to see. We are now heading east in the Straits of Juan de Fuca on our way to Roche Harbor in the San Juans. There is an enormous cruise ship on our starboard bow and a line of freighters on port side. This is a very busy shipping area. We made a new friend on a 60'Nordhavn "Relish" from South Carolina. Hope to make it to Roche by night fall we will be in touch.
