We are finally on the water

We left Scappoose yesterday afternoon around 4:30 and made it as far as Lord Island which is just NW of Longview. We tied to The Columbia River Yacht Club Dock and visited with friends from our moorage who just happened to be there also. I practiced my boating skills with A LOT of help from Bill and was able to stabilize and hold the boat 20 feet off the dock in a 3 knot current. We plan to cross the Columbia River bar tomorrow and head North up the coast, hopefully making it to Neah Bay by night fall. The forecast for the waves is favorable and with our WONDERFUL STABILIZERS I am keeping my fingers crossed that I won't need to wear a sea sick patch!
