June 29th

We are motoring north up the Grenville Channel. We anchored at Aaltanhash Inlet last night, originally the plan was to stay a Khutze, but we will save that for our return trip. We anchored by two small waterfalls in a grassy inlet. Bill was hopeful in seeing some bears, but no luck. The weather is cloudy and rainy, but the waterfalls are marvelous. We just played with a killer whale off of our starboard bow for a mile or so. He was alone unfortunately, and fairly large. I took some pictures with my movie camera, but I was so excited I don't think they turned out very clear. The waterfalls seem to flow out of nothing and run forever don the mountainside, they are beautiful. I have mastered the radar, it's a necessity when the fog rolls in, or it's to dark. I of course think it is needed more often than Bill does. We plan to get to Lewis Island tonight and then on to Ketchikan. We will see, we may stop very at one of the many inlets along the way and hang out for the day, they are so peaceful. Another day on the water.
