Dublin

Today we enjoyed a walking tour. We saw so many wonderful old churches, cathedrals, and interesting old architecture. We visited St. Patricks Cathedral which was initially built around 1190AD and has been added onto up until the early 1700's. Christ Church Cathedral was founded 1169AD on the former site of a Viking Church, and has a manuscript dating back to 1030AD. Outside the church is an area set aside that shows the foundation of an ancient Viking ruins. We meandered through the Decorative Arts and History Museum located in the Collins Barracks. They had on display and exhibit of Celtic Crosses, dating back hundred of years. We had a Guinness at the oldest Pub in Dublin, "The Brazen Head", which was just down the lane from the Guinness Storehouse, very interesting place it was built in 1198!  Dublin is a lot of fun.
